How To Reduce Hair Loss After Bleaching

Hair loss after bleaching is possible because your hair wasn’t in good shape before, so you decided to bleach it. You shouldn’t be that stressed about it because eventually, it will grow back, and your hair loss will reduce.

How to reduce hair loss after bleaching? To minimize hair loss, you have to take care of your scalp and look for the best products to improve it. There are lots of different products out there, but what I would do is start off with a very good shampoo and conditioner.

Look for the one that fits your hair type. Make sure you eat healthily, and if you touch your hair a lot, stop doing that immediately.

If you are still losing hair after 2 – 3 months of bleaching, visit a dermatologist that specializes in scalp treatments. This way, you know what you are up to and what you can do to improve it.

Is The Hair Loss Permanent?

No, probably not because your hair will get better over time. In the beginning, it might be really stressful, but it’s actually nor permanent for everyone. I think that maybe 1 out of 1000 people that bleach there will have permanent hair loss because it’s too damaged.

The reason why is that their hair was already very damaged before bleaching. When they went to bleach the hair, it got worse and suddenly started losing hair. But it’s not the case for everyone. The other 999 people will recover from hair loss if they take good care of the scalp.

How Long Does It Take To Recover?

There’s no exact time on how long it takes to fully recover your damaged hair. Some people only have to use hair treatments every week for 2 weeks straight, and other people have to do it for 6 months. For me personally, my hair recovered pretty soon only after 3 to 4 weeks of following my strict hair routine.

What you should do is start immediately by taking care of your scalp/hair. The longer you wait, the longer it will be damaged. I highly recommend you to follow the hair routine I’ve made below because it could literally improve your hair in just 2 to 3 weeks.

How To Treat Bleached Hair?

There are many ways to treat bleached damaged hair. What worked well for me is following a strict routine of the same hair care products every time I wash my hair. I use this routine every week 2 to 3 times, depending on how damaged my hair is.

Some days when my hair is very damaged, I use it 4 to 5 times, but I don’t shampoo my hair because if you shampoo your hair too often, it will strip away the natural oils. This hair routine will, for sure, improve your hair if you do it seriously and take the time for not. Not everyone is willing to do that, but if you are consistent, It will definitely improve.

Hair Routine To Treat Bleached Hair

Lador – Damage Protector Acid Shampoo

The Lador damage protector acid shampoo repairs your hair very efficiently because it’s color-safe and silicone-free. That means it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals in it that could possibly damage it even more. It’s an argan oil formulation that creates extra shiny and smooth hair after using it.

I have used this in the past, and it works significantly good for bleached and dry hair. It did take some time, but eventually, after 2 to 4 weeks of using this shampoo, my hair improved a lot, and I still use it to this day if I feel like my hair is very dry. I highly recommend this shampoo to everyone that has very dry hair.

Another plus is that this shampoo lasts really long, I only used it 2 to 3 times a week and 4 times at most. The shampoo lasted me about 3 months, which is really long for a shampoo. When I buy a normal shampoo from the department store, it only lasts me 3 to 4 weeks. So technically speaking, it’s also a money saver.

NATURE REPUBLIC – Argan Essential Deep Care Conditioner

The Nature Republic deep conditioner is enriched with argan oil. What I really like about this hair routine is that it contains a lot of argan oil. Argan oil is really good for bleached hair because it repairs and nourishes your hair from heat, dyes, and chemicals.

The conditioner doesn’t feel heavy on the hair and is really smooth. The scent is also amazing, and it really does help improve your damaged hair. Make sure when you are using this conditioner to leave it in for about 15 to 20 minutes before washing it out because it needs to absorb.

The Nature Republic brand is known worldwide by a lot of people and is becoming more and more popular every day. It also helps frizzy hair become less frizzy, and the surprising thing is that it actually makes your hair look shinier.

Lador – Tea Tree Scalp Clinic Hair Pack

The Lador Tea Tree Scalp hair pack is a hair treatment that is infused with nutritions extracted from derived tea trees. This hair mask is really perfect for people with hair loss because of bleached hair. It will control the hair loss and could eventually stop it all. That’s what you want at the end of the day.

The hair mask contains plant-based ingredients that are really gentle on the scalp. What you don’t want are harsh ingredients that could potentially damage your scalp even more. So it’s important to use a good hair mask with good healthy ingredients.

Use this after you have shampooed and conditioned your hair. Make sure to apply a generous amount to the damaged part and massage it thoroughly. The important part here is to spread it evenly and let it sit for about 25 to 30 minutes. After that, rinse it off with lukewarm water and go to the next step.

Kate Blanc – Castor Oil

The Kate Blanc Castor oil is 100% castor oil, which is made to improve hair growth. When you are already experiencing hair loss, you don’t want it to get worse. So adding a hair growth product to this routine is really good. It will boost your hair growth and also moisturizes the scalp.

Besides hair growth, castor oil also works really good as a general moisturizer for your skin. This product is a must-have in this routine. The bottle is big, considering you only need a small amount of this every day.

Apply a tiny amount of the castor oil to the damaged hair every day and make sure to massage it. If you want, you could even use it for your eyebrows or eyelashes.

So when my friends are going to bleach their hair, I always recommend these products to them. It’s a no brainer for me because it actually worked. If you follow the routine consistently, it will improve. Just don’t be too harsh on your hair and touch it all day.
