The 9 Best Purple Shampoos For Asian Hair

Purple shampoo for Asian hair can be very good. It often depends on what kind of shampoo you are using and your hair type. Generally speaking, purple shampoos should only be used 2x a week at max. There many different ways to use purple shampoo, but the way I like it is after using my regular shampoo.

When using a purple shampoo, it shouldn’t be a replacement for your regular shampoo. Purple shampoo for Asian hair should only be used 2x a week. I’ve tried many different brands in the past, and most of them didn’t work for my Asian hair. I do have to say that I bought most of them in department stores.

These days almost everything is bought online because it’s easier and faster. What you have to keep in mind when buying a purple shampoo is that it suits your hair type. So, here are the eight best purple shampoos for Asian hair.L’Oréal Paris Hair Care EverPure

Table of Contents

1. Fanola No Yellow Shampoo

The Fanola No Yellow Shampoo is one of the best purple shampoos out there. I’ve been using this for almost three years now, and it works excellent for Asian hair. What I like about this purple shampoo is that it’s ideal for light grey hair.

So, when you’re going to dye your hair light, this is the perfect option for you. Another plus is that this purple shampoo will last you around 3 to 4 months when used 2x a week. That’s a pretty good deal if you’d ask me.

If you haven’t tried this out, I highly recommend it. Especially if you have Asian hair, it works great. Just give it a try, and you’ll see that it actually works.

2. Matrix Total Results So Silver Color Depositing Purple Shampoo

The Matrix Total Results So Silver Color Depositing Purple Shampoo is best for color-treaded hair. Most Asian’s don’t often dye their hair, but when they do, this is perfect for them. It feels extremely premium and pleasant while applying it.

I have used this in the past, and it actually worked very well for me. The liquid volume is 300 milliliters, which are pretty big for its size. Normally in department stores, the bottles are fairly small and won’t last long. That’s not the case with this shampoo.

I do recommend you using a tiny amount first to see how it works. This shampoo is certainly not for everyone, so be careful when using it. You want to make sure it suits your hair type and won’t do any harm.

3. Catwalk Tigi Fashionista Blondes And Highlights Shampoo

The Catwalk Tigi Fashionista Blondes And Highlights Shampoo are one of my sulfate-free shampoos for Asian hair. This purple shampoo works great because it makes your hair shiny and gives that extra boost it might need.

Most people with Asian hair that I know of have very thin and dry hair. I know that they use conditioners and hair masks to make it better, often that doesn’t really work. When I tried this purple shampoo for my Asian hair, it blew my mind.

This purple shampoo worked excellently, but it was at the time when I had bleached my hair blonde, so it might not work for dark-colored hair.

4. Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo

The Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo is great if you have to stay within a budget. It comes in 2 bottles of 16 ounces, which is pretty big. It will last you between 4 to 5 months, depending on how much you’re going to use it.

What I like about this purple shampoo or Asian hair is that it can be used on natural hair. Most purple shampoos are designed to only work for color hair, but that’s not the case with this one.

Another plus is that the bottle itself is enriched with protein, and the brand itself is an award-winning product. If you haven’t tried this out yet, I highly recommend you trying it out at least once.

5. Purple Shampoo For Blonde Hair By Gbg

The Purple Shampoo For Blonde Hair By Gbg is one of the better purple shampoos for Asian hair out there. This shampoo is made with fresh organic ingredients that are great for the hair.

What I really like about this shampoo is that it’s used by many professional hair salons out there. My personal hairstylist recommended me this purple shampoo, and still, to this day, I’ve been using it.

Another plus is that it’s great for blonde hair, so if you have dyed your hair blonde and you’re Asian, this is perfect for you. I do not recommend using this with a darker hair color since I haven’t tried that myself.

6. Pantene Silver Expressions

The Pantene Silver Expressions works great for light colors. If you are going to dye your hair silver, white or grey, this is literally the best option for you. I have dyed my hair many colors in the past, and every time I went for something different, I used this purple shampoo.

What I really like about this purple shampoo is that it’s made for different colors rather than the only blonde. The scent of this shampoo is very fresh, and it will stay in your hair throughout the day.

Another plus is that this shampoo is paraben and silicone-free, which is a huge benefit if you’re into those things. If you’re considering buying this, it’s definitely worth it giving it a try.

7. Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo

The Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Purple shampoo is great for Asian hair if you’re going to dye your hair extremely blonde. When I had blonde hair in the past, I’ve used this purple shampoo many times, and it worked great.

Surely, there are many other great options out there, but this is one of my favorites. What I really like about this purple shampoo is that it’s the best for people with bleached hair.

So, if you haven’t dyed your hair, I wouldn’t recommend you using this. It works great for people with bleached hair, though.

8. Biolage Colorlast Purple Shampoo

The Biolage Colorlast Purple Shampoo is great for Asians with color-treaded hair. This is also one of the better shampoos for Asian hair since it gives your hair more of a natural look. What I really like about this purple shampoo is that it’s paraben-free.

The brand biology is huge in the US, another plus is that this purple shampoo gives your blonde look a healthy look. The shampoo doesn’t smell too chemical. It’s rather fresh and neutral.

Make sure to use a conditioner after the shampoo, just in case. The conditioner will give your hair an extra layer of protection it might need. It’s better to be safe than sorry, and that’s what I always do when using purple shampoo.
