The 7 Best Shampoo For Eczema On The Scalp

The 7 Best Shampoo For Eczema On The Scalp

If you have eczema on the scalp and want to improve, it tries one of these shampoos I’ve mentioned below. I have had multiple scalp conditions in the past, which really made my scalp itchy and flaky all day.

The most annoying thing is wanting to scratch your scalp, but knowing it will make it worse. When I tried lots of different shampoos, I finally found some that actually worked. It took some time, but eventually, it was all worth it for me. That’s why I’ve made a list of the 7 best shampoos for eczema on the scalp.

1. Free & Clear Hair Shampoo

The Free & Clear Hair Shampoo is one of the best shampoos for eczema. It’s a fragrance and gluten-free shampoo that’s perfect for people with very sensitive skin. The shampoo is made for all hair types, and it’s dermatologist tested.

What I really like about this shampoo is that it’s fragrance-free, which means there aren’t any scents in it. The shampoo also doesn’t have any harsh chemicals so that your skin will get very irritated when shampooing.

Another plus is that the shampoo works for all hair types, so it doesn’t really matter if you have thick or thin hair. Normally when I used other shampoos, my skin got very irritated and red. But with this shampoo, it doesn’t, and my eczema on my whole body improved over time.

In the past, I have used many other shampoos, and my skin was always very sensitive and itchy. So when I tried other shampoos and finally found a good one, I was very happy and recommended it to everyone that has eczema themselves. The shampoo has over 1,300 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5, which is really outstanding.

2. Neutrogena T/Gel Extra Strength Therapeutic Shampoo

The Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo works very well if you have very sensitive skin. The shampoo cleanses the scalp very well, but other than that, it doesn’t feel harsh on the skin. You don’t want a shampoo that’s really harsh if you have eczema.

What I really like about this shampoo is that it feels very gentle on the scalp, and it also controls dandruff and psoriasis. If you have eczema on the scalp, I highly recommend this shampoo because it really could change your life.

One of my friends recommended this shampoo to me because her scalp is extremely sensitive. It’s always itchy and irritated like mine, and I just decided to try it. After a couple of uses, this shampoo did improve my scalp by a lot, but when I tried more and more shampoos.

I found out that there were better ones out there, but this shampoo is definitely one of the best if you have an extremely sensitive scalp. For me personally, I have this shampoo for many years, and after all those years, I still use it once a month. I really like to switch shampoos because this way, my scalp will get a different feeling that I enjoy.

3. The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo

The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo is extremely popular worldwide, and lots of people use this. The shampoo works very well for people with dry and flaky scalps. It has ginger in it that also works for people with dandruff.

What I like about this shampoo is that it is blended with ginger and actually works. I had used the shampoo from Head & Shoulders for dandruff a lot when I was a kid, but this shampoo was way better, in my opinion. So I switched brands a long time ago.

Another plus is that this shampoo works very well when you also use the conditioner from the same brand. Once you combine those 2 products, your scalp will improve significantly.  I always recommend other people to use the shampoo and conditioner from the same brands to get the best results.

Most of the time, it really helps when you use products from the same brands because the transitioning go smoother. After using the shampoo, your scalp will feel very refreshed and less dry. Make sure to use a hair mask once a week to get even better results.

4. California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo

The California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo comes in a set with body wash. It’s normally used for babies, but if you have eczema, this is a perfect choice. Your scalp might be very irritated when you used other shampoos.

With this shampoo, it doesn’t make your skin very soft, and it’s allergy-tested. The shampoo is also fragrance-free, and it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals inside. When you get out of the shower, your skin might be very dry, and you need to use lotion instantly. With this shampoo, it’s not, but I do advise you to use lotion after the shower just in case it gets dry.

One of my nephews uses this shampoo since he also has very sensitive skin. When he started using this shampoo, his skin improved significantly, but it took some time. He used it for around 4 to 5 weeks before actually seeing results. That’s why it’s important to try out a product first for a couple of weeks before throwing it away.

Some people only use products once and throw them away, which is literally a waste of money. So make sure to think thoroughly about buying the right shampoo for your scalp.

5. DHS SAL Shampoo

The DHS SAL Shampoo treats scalp build-up from psoriasis and dandruff. It’s definitely one of the better shampoos out there. It relieves the itchiness from your scalp and other conditions.

I found this shampoo when the dermatologist recommended this to me. I started using this a long time ago but stopped using it these days since I switched to another shampoo. However, this shampoo did improve my scalp conditions, and I really liked it. The reason why I switched from shampoos is that the other one felt personally better for me.

I do think that it really depends on your scalp condition and what kind of treatment you need. Some people with extreme eczema need other shampoos that, for example, myself. So I always recommend people to find out what kind of scalp condition they have, and after that, look for a shampoo that really does improve your scalp.

What you don’t want is to spend money on a shampoo that doesn’t actually improve your scalp. So go to the dermatologist and ask for some advice.

6. OGX Weightless Hydration + Coconut Water Shampoo

The OGX Weightless Hydration + Coconut Water Shampoo was one of my favorite shampoos when I was around 16 years old. The shampoo just smells amazing, and it’s sulfate-free. It felt extremely lightweight when I applied to my scalp, and it gave my hair a silky smooth feel after.

Another plus is that this shampoo didn’t feel harsh on my scalp at all. I expected it to not work because my scalp conditions were very bad at the time, but when I started using this, it didn’t. My scalp actually felt very relieved and hydrated.

What I really like about this shampoo is that it actually makes thin hair fuller over time. It does take some time before actually seeing the results, but that’s for everything. If you are willing to stay committed and trying out different products, it definitely will improve.

7. Pureology Hydrate Moisturizing Shampoo

The Pureology Hydrate Moisturizing Shampoo works perfectly for people with very dry hair. The shampoo is made to moisturize your hair, and it doesn’t strip away the bad oils. It works for dry and colored hair, and it gently cleanses your scalp.

What I really like about this shampoo is that it’s a daily shampoo that’s also sulfate-free. When using shampoo, it’s important to use those with less harsh chemicals inside. The only downside with this shampoo is the size. I personally think that it could be a bit bigger for the price, but if you want quality, this is a good shampoo.

Just try it out and give us some feedback. In the past, I have used lots of different shampoos that made my hair feel very dirty and greasy after using it. However, with this shampoo, it doesn’t do that. My hair feels very clean and smooth. You only need a tiny amount of this shampoo to make it work, and it also smells wonderful

The shampoo has over 800 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. I recommend you to try this shampoo at least once because you don’t know until you are actually going to try it yourself.
